Make Summer Fun for Kids With 30A Surf Camp

If you are looking for ways to make summer fun for kids so they don’t spend all day inside your 30A luxury homes, check out the 30A Surf Camp!

The 30A Surf Camp is a 3-hour camp which runs twice a day by experienced and professional surfers. The camp is all summer long and located at two beach locations along Scenic Highway 30A - one at the Ed Walline Park across from Gulf Place and the other location is at the Seagrove Plaza at Seagrove Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. 

The Surf Camp aims to teach children safety in the water and how to catch their first wave on a surfboard. It is open to children ages 6 and up who know how to swim. The fee is $150 for a 3-hour session and includes a free shirt and free coupons from local vendors. Surfboards will be provided during the camp.

Classes will run all summer long until September 10, from Mondays through Thursdays starting at 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM. Aside from the spectacular fireworks that draw hundreds of 30A luxury home residents and guests to Scenic Highway 30A’s beaches each year, people look forward to the fun and exciting 4th of July Annual Parade at Seaside.

This year’s parade begins at 8 AM in front of Seagrove Plaza. Residents of homes along 30A and guests can watch as participants decked out in patriotic costumes parade on festive holiday floats down 30A, 1.5 miles from Seagrove to Seaside. Participants of the parade ride decorated bicycles, cars and golf carts. You can even see dogs dressed in their finest patriotic costumes!

Upon arrival at Seaside, participants will be judged and awards will be given to the best parade entries in different categories. After the winners are announced, everyone can enjoy the live music and festivities in the Seaside Amphitheater. Enjoy a day of activities for the entire family including face painting and lots of food.

Neighboring communities of Grayton Beach, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, and WaterColor will also have their own festivities and fireworks display, so if you have a 30A luxury home, you could just choose which of these communities’ events to attend.

Every year, residents of 30A luxury homes look forward to the one of the most elite big-game fishing tournaments in the world - The 2015 Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic, which will be held at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort on June 17-21, 2015. 

 

80 sport-fishing yachts will be carrying fishermen eager to catch some giant blue marlin, tuna, and wahoo to see who will bag the $2 million prize money.

According to Adam Alfonso, the tournament director, they are working hard to get everything ready for this event and expect lots of new teams, along with the past teams, to compete in this prestigious event in Sandestin.

Sandestin Golf and Beach resort is the perfect venue for this elite fishing event.
