Fun Awaits 30A Luxury Home Owners at the 3rd Annual 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run in Alys Beach
Good
news for all 30A luxury home owners and 30A tourists! You can now register for the 3rd Annual 5k and 1 Mile
Fun Run to be held in Alys Beach. Click on the link to register in advance.
The 5k and 1
Mile Fun Run happens on Sunday, August 31, 2014. The 5K Race starts at 7:00AM
while the 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:30AM. Organizers advise participants to
arrive 30 minutes early on the day of the race.
The Fun Run
course winds through the streets of Alys Beach located along Scenic Highway
30A.
This event
is open for all ages, even kids! Registration fee is $35 for the 5K run and $15
for the 1 Mile Fun Run (for kids ages 12 and below only). Advanced registration closes on Friday, August 29th. If
any race registrations remain, they will be sold on Saturday, August 30th, from
10:00AM - 2:00PM for $50 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, so make
sure to register early to get the lower rates!
Bring your
kids along and so they can enjoy the oversized obstacle course for kids of all
ages.
The event
ends with live music at 9:15AM by DJ Shane Keller from Rock the House and an
awarding ceremony at the Alys Beach Amphitheatre. Food and beverages will be
available.
If you are interested to join the Fun Run, make sure to register early
since the 5K is limited to 400 participants and the 1 Mile Fun Run is limited
to 150 participants only.
Proceeds from this year’s race will benefit the Autism Society.
