Many people look forward to celebrating the 4th of July in their 30A luxury home. Nothing beats watching spectacular fireworks by the beach.
Aside from the fireworks display in virtually every beach community along 30A, there’s also the annual 4th of July Parade to look forward to. The parade features decorated bicycles, cars, golf carts, and even dogs, which are truly a spectacle to behold!
The fireworks display from the pristine beaches along 30A will take your breath away this Independence Day!
The parade begins at 8AM in front of the Seagrove Plaza, where participants will march down 1.5 miles from Seagrove decked out in their patriotic costumes and riding elaborate holiday floats. The parade will stop at Seaside, where a panel of judges will select the winners from the parade entries.  
Needless to say, the stars of the show are always our furry friends dressed in their cute patriotic costumes.
Whether you are riding a bike, scooter, golf cart, or float, you are invited to participate in the parade. Who knows you could get one of the prizes in one of the several categories.
After the parade and awarding, head on to the Seaside Amphitheater to enjoy the music from 30A Radio and other activities for the entire family like face painting and so much more!

30A Luxury Home Residents can Now Register for Surf and Skim Camps in 30A


Good news for the residents of 30A luxury homes looking for the perfect way to cap off the summer vacation. The Surf and Skim Camps by Meyer Boarding Company is now open for registration.
Summer vacation along 30A entails many fun and exciting activities.

The camps will be held from June 16th until August 12th, every Monday and Tuesday, from 10AM until noon, at Ed Walline Beach Park located just across Gulf Place.
Anyone from age 5 and up, who can swim, is welcome to join the 2-day camp for a fee of $300. This includes a 40-inch 30A skim board from Meyer Boarding Company or if you are bringing your own board, you just need to pay $200 for the 2-day camp.
Residents of 30A luxury homes can now try the Surf and Skim Camps.

All attendees will get a swag bag full of goodies from local merchants and lots of freebies from local sponsors. All you need to bring is a towel, plenty of sunscreen, snacks and water.
Slots are limited to only 10 persons per camp to keep a 5:1 ratio. Call 850-830-1893.

30A Beach Safety Tips


Summer is when 30A luxury homes become vacation and tourist hot spots as homeowners and tourists flock to the famous beaches of South Walton.

Make sure you stay safe while having fun on the beach, especially if you have children spending their summer vacation with you along 30A.

These beach safety tips will make sure your summer along 30A will be a fun and exciting one!

Here are some safety tips for beach lovers:

1. Never swim alone.
Always swim in a beach with lifeguards. Before going for a dip, talk to the lifeguard about the conditions of the beach, the waves, current, and wind.

2. Learn how to swim and know your limitations.
Even if you know how to swim in a pool, remember that swimming in a pool is very different from swimming at a beach. The winds, currents, and crashing waves are unpredictable and can change quickly. Swimming in currents and waves could cause fatigue and drown even a seasoned swimmer.

Keep safe while having fun ad enjoying the summer season in the pristine beaches along 30A.

3. Use a flotation device to protect you from rip currents.
Smooth water located between breaking waves could be a sign of a rip current. Ask the lifeguard about using a US Coast Guard approved flotation device.

4. Limit your time in the water.
Your body cools a lot faster in water. Get out of the water immediately if you begin to feel cold.

5. Familiarize yourself with the warnings represented by colored beach flags.
These are the most commonly used color coded beach flags and their meanings:
  • Double Red: Beach is closed to the public
  • Single Red: high hazard, e.g., strong surf or currents
  • Yellow: medium hazard
  • Green: Calm conditions although caution is still necessary
  • Purple: Flown with either Red or Yellow: Dangerous marine life, but not sharks
As cliché as it may sound, it’s always “better to be safe than sorry” and one last tip...don’t forget your sunblock!
